On 28th February, 2008, Huahong Group signed a sponsorship agreement with the Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau to be the only supplier of ticket chips used in the World Expo 2010 Shanghai. It was agreed that Huahong Group would provide the event with overall ticketing system solutions and products based on the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.

The project of Huahong Group’s Expo RFID ticketing system encompasses the following areas: design and production of ticket chips, design and development of management systems for ticket issuing, logistics and checking, and design and production of ticketing equipment.

The RFID-based e-ticket chips designed and produced by Huahong Group adopt the digital security technology, which can effectively prevent forgery and alteration of tickets, and has incomparable advantages in rapid ticket checking, compared with traditional paper tickets.

Huahong Group has also developed the Shanghai World Expo sales read/write devices, wall-mounted ticket checking machines, handheld ticket checking machines, ticket inspection barriers and other fare collection equipment, and related software. Automatic identification of e-tickets by fare collection equipment not only enables the visitors a quick admission to the event, but also meets the requirement of the World Expo visitor traffic management.

Drawing upon the company’s involvement in the entire industry chain, Huahong Group has built a stable, reliable and efficient ticketing system for the Shanghai World Expo, which has ensured every aspect from chip design and manufacturing to systems and applications to be controllable and traceable. Huahong Group has created a comprehensive digital security system for the Expo, which is a successful attempt to apply the RFID technology to tickets at the world’s largest scale. As a result, a total of 73 million visitors from around the world have been able to fully experience the thoughtful convenience brought by technological innovation.

Huahong Group has undertaken a number of other projects, including ticketing systems for China Pavilion which extended its exhibition after the Shanghai Expo, Shanghai 2011 International Carnival, and Xi’an 2011 World Horticultural Expo.
